Bob White

As a youngster, Bob White dreamed of becoming a disc jockey. While earning a degree in broadcast communications at San Francisco State, his studies also included broadcast journalism. Bob was a student news writer, anchor and producer in both radio and television then spent over a decade as a professional disc jockey, newsman, production director, music director and commercial copywriter at numerous radio stations (even a TV duty director). He also received an FCC First Class Radio/Telephone license, now an FCC General. Later, he became a market research and industry analyst covering digital media: satellite radio, digital HD radio, and video for Dataquest/Gartner. Now on Alameda Community Radio, Bob White's a DJ again with his show “Alameda Oldies"
